Bra Sizing Guide

Welcome to our sophisticated and empowering bra sizing guide, where we unravel the secrets to finding the perfect fit that combines comfort, support, and feminine elegance. We understand that every woman is unique and deserving of lingerie that not only accentuates her natural beauty but also embraces her individuality. With our guide, you will embark on a journey to discover the flawless combination of numbers and letters that will unlock the key to your ultimate bra fit - one that enhances your silhouette, provides unwavering support, and encapsulates your femininity with grace and confidence. Let's get started.

Bra Sizing:

Bra sizing uses a combination of numbers and letters to represent the band size and cup size. Here's what the numbers and letters mean:

Band Size (Number): The band size corresponds to the measurement around your torso just under your bust. This number represents the circumference of your ribcage.

Cup Size (Letter): The cup size indicates the volume and depth of the breasts in relation to the band size. The cup size is represented by different letters of the alphabet.

The cup sizes are not standardized universally, and they can vary between different countries. The most commonly used systems are US sizing, UK sizing, and European sizing.

To find your perfect fit, it is crucial to get measured regularly, preferably every six months or whenever you suspect your size might have changed.

Finding Your Perfect Fit:

Here are some tips to ensure you find your perfect fit:

Band Size: Measure your underbust area using a soft measuring tape. The tape should be snug but not too tight. Round the measurement to the nearest even number to determine your band size.

Cup Size: Measure the fullest part of your bust while wearing a non-padded bra. Subtract your band size measurement from this bust measurement. The difference between the two measurements corresponds to the cup size. Each inch represents one cup size.

0-1 inch difference: A cup
1-2 inch difference: B cup
2-3 inch difference: C cup
3-4 inch difference: D cup
4-5 inch difference: DD (or E) cup
5-6 inch difference: DDD/F cup (or E/F cup in UK sizing)
6-7 inch difference: DDDD/G cup (or F/G cup in UK sizing)
And so on...

Remember that cup size is relative to band size, so a D cup on a 34 band will be smaller than a D cup on a 38 band.

Bra sizing can vary depending on the brand and the country of origin. Here are the most commonly used sizing systems:

US sizing: Uses a combination of numbers and letters, such as 34C or 42DD.

UK sizing: Also uses a combination of numbers and letters, but the cup sizes differ slightly from US sizing. For example, a UK D cup is equivalent to a US DD cup.

European sizing: Uses only numbers to represent the band size and may also include metric measurements. For example, a European 80 band size is equal to a US 36.

Australian sizing: Follows the same system as UK sizing.

Bra Styles:

Plunge Bra - A plunge bra has a deep V-shaped neckline that works well with low-cut outfits. It provides enough support while still giving the appearance of a sexy and alluring look. It pairs well with outfits that feature plunging necklines, such as cocktail dresses or blouses.

Mesh Bra - A mesh bra is a sheer and breathable bra that is typically made with a lightweight fabric such as mesh or lace. It's perfect for hot and humid weather, providing comfort and breathability. It pairs well with outfits that call for a light and airy feel, such as sundresses or sheer blouses.

T-Shirt Bra - A t-shirt bra has a smooth and seamless design with molded cups that provide a natural and rounded shape. It's ideal for wearing under form-fitting tops and dresses as it doesn't add any bulk or lines.

Push-Up Bra - A push-up bra lifts and enhances cleavage, providing a fuller and more pronounced look. It pairs well with clothes that show off more skin like tank tops and low-cut tops.

Sports Bra - A sports bra supports and minimizes movement during physical activity. They come in different levels of compression for low, medium, and high-intensity workouts.

Bra vs. Bralette:

While bras come in various designs and support levels, bralettes are a more relaxed and comfortable option. A bralette is a bra without underwire or molded cups, and it's often made with a soft and stretchy fabric such as cotton or lace. Bralettes are perfect for lounging or for a comfortable and casual outfit.

With proper selection and accurate sizing, you'll feel comfortable, secure, and confident.
